Terrain: A Celebration of Landscape

“Terrain: A Celebration of Landscape” is a beautiful collection of work by five artists, each of whom has their own unique mediums, techniques and visions of what falls within the scope of “landscape.” These artists include Cathryn Amidei (digital weavings), Morgan Burgard (digital paintings), Kevin Craig (photography), Carrie Hensel (paintings) and Matruka Sherman (photography).
This exhibition was curated by Jen Eastridge, owner of The Gallery at Stone & Spoon. One of her true retreats in life is to “take to the woods,” so it seemed quite natural to go on the hunt for fresh and diverse representations of landscapes. These five featured artists bring to the gallery pieces that will tap into our most nostalgic memories such as snowy hikes, moonlit trees, or pausing to appreciate the warmth of a summer garden. Eastridge invites you to join her and step into this eclectic, and very special show of work where you can then ask yourself…”what does my landscape look like?” Let’s begin to wonder/wander outside a bit, shall we?
Join Eastridge and our five featured artists at the Opening Night Reception, previously taking place on Feb. 4, 2022, has been postponed due to weather. It will now take place on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at The Gallery at Stone & Spoon. This is a masked event.
Mobility note: Our beautiful 19th century building has no elevator, so all attendees will need to take a flight of stairs up to The Gallery. If you are unable to do stairs, but would like to see the exhibition, we will be posting a live video of the exhibition alongside the artist for an insider’s perspective. This will be another great way to see these pieces!
