Creative Journaling for the Mindful Traveler

Join us on the afternoon of Saturday, March 18th at 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in The Gallery at Stone & Spoon for “Creative Journaling for the Mindful Traveler” led by Naomi White!

In a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere, participants will learn how to generate delightful, sensory-based entries with Illuminated Journey’s guided creative mindfulness journaling system.

Wondering what to expect from this workshop? In the words of Naomi White herself,
“My travel journal system has two parts – one is a guide, which explains how the system works and has lists of useful words, quotes, resources, scrapbooking ideas. The second part is the journal itself, which has two aspects for each day – one is a two-page spread template for recording a certain memory of the day, as well as space for making lists of delightful things and new things/thoughts/etc from that same day. The next set of pages is blank, and that’s a space for traditional journaling if desired, and also for scrapbooking.

I’ll be walking folks through the guide and journal while explaining how it works. Then each attendee will have time to work on a day or two of their own. I’d like to invite each attendee to bring any 2D memorabilia you have from a trip that you’d like to include in your journal. If you don’t have anything, it’s just fine – there are lots of other options to dive into!”

This workshop is $55/per person, ages 18 & up. Participants will leave workshop with an Illuminated Journey Guide & Journal plus a unique, refillable, vegan journal cover.

Naomi White is an Ypsi native and former high school teacher who is delighted to have created a way to combine several of her great loves – travel, creativity, spiritual inquiry and community. When not traveling or caring for her clients at Blue Door Massage, she can be found on her farm in Chelsea, where she lives with her husband, Tom, and their three cats.
